Is your Test Booster RX (TRBX) supplement safe if I have Hypothyroidism?

Answer: The ingredients inside Testosterone Booster RX (TBRX) are safe (and even potentially beneficial) for hypothyroidism based on research studies. That said, we do recommend that if you choose to use this product... you pay attention to any high-thyroid hormone effects (like increased body temperature and sweating) and get blood work done while taking TBRX to check your thyroid hormone levels as research shows that the main ingredients in TBRX may naturally increase thyroid hormone output, and may EITHER allow for a lower dosage of thyroid replacement medication to maintain healthy TSH, T3, and T4 levels - OR you & your doctor may elect to discontinue TBRX due to it's potential thyroid boosting effects.

Here's a summary of the main ingredients in TBRX & research-documented effects on thyroid levels:

  • Ashwagandha (KSM-66), one of the main ingredients inside TBRX, has been clinically shown to help normalize/boost thyroid hormone levels naturally in people who are hypothyroid (see this article).

"Eight weeks of supplementation with the commercial KSM-66 Ashwagandha root extract were associated with normalization of the thyroid stimulating hormones (TSH), serum thyroxine (T4) and serum triiodothyronine (T3) in people with elevated TSH levels."

Because Ashwagandha has mild, beneficial effects on thyroid hormones, it is a good idea to get regular blood work after using TBRX for 2-months to see if you may need less thyroid medication to maintain healthy levels.
  • Shilajit (Primavie), a secondary ingredient inside TBRX, is a small source of fulvic acid. High doses of fulvic acid have been shown to DECREASE thyroid function. This is worth noting (see these case studies).

The amount of fulvic acid found in TBRX that naturally comes from the Shilajit (which is 10-15% fulvic acid by weight) yields around 30mg of fulvic acid per serving of TBRX, which is a tiny amount (90% less) compared to the amount shown to be thyrosurpressive. Fulvic acid is often administered in injections to treat an overactive thyroid.
  • The 100% recommended daily intake of Zinc in TBRX is highly beneficial for the thyroid, as the thyroid gland requires zinc to synthesize thyroid hormones; zinc deficiency often causes hypothyroid (see this article).
  • The Vitamin B6 in TBRX is also highly beneficial for the thyroid, as the thyroid gland requires B6 to synthesize thyroid hormones (see this article).
  • In animal models, Boron increases Testosterone, semen quality, and improves thyroid function (see this article).
  • Vitamin D3 is beneficial for thyroid health as D3 deficiency decreases thyroid hormone output (see this article).
