Why did the Super Fuel formulation change?

Short Answer:

In an effort to better serve our members, we are constantly searching for ways to improve our products and offerings. Based on feedback and ever-changing research, we have decided to improve our existing, comprehensive Super Fuel protein powder formulation to deliver even more benefits. Read on to learn about the changes!

Longer Answer:

After releasing the 2021 Super Fuel formula which included Creatine, we had some feedback that not everybody wanted Creatine in Super Fuel. We totally understand that – especially considering Creatine is widely available as a great standalone supplement produced by many reputable companies.

The Super Fuel 2023 formula is being adjusted accordingly, along with many other improvements we had in mind.

About the NEW 2023 Formulation:

Our 2023 formula continues with our improvements and is focused on improving GUT HEALTH. We swapped the Creatine, Betaine, and Tart Cherry for the following:

We added a new Digestive Enzyme Blend to the 2023 formula – including the powerful enzymes Papain, Bromelain, and Protease. These 3x beneficial enzymes help our bodies reduce inflammation while also improving the digestibility and absorption of the amino-acid-rich protein found in Super Fuel. Although Super Fuel is very easy to digest, these enzymes make this new formula even more bioavailable.
We also added in MORE great probiotics at a bigger dose. We added in 2 new beneficial probiotic strains (L. plantarum and L. bulgaricus) that are research-proven to improve digestive health, inflammatory markers, and overall immune system strength. Now, each scoop of Super Fuel contains the following probiotics: L. acidophilus, L. plantarum., L. bulgaricus., B. subtilis
We also added in new PREBIOTIC fiber (4g) for gut health and heart health benefits. Prebiotics are the fertilizer that helps Probiotics do their magic. We sourced the fiber from Apple Pectin, Flax, and Oat Fiber, which are ideal sources. We obviously recommend good sources of fiber in the meal plan (e.g. veggies in the “Perfect Plate” and various fibers in our shake recipes); yet, we also think it’s beneficial for you to get a bit more fiber in a delicious “no brainer” way in each scoop of Super Fuel. So, now, with this 2023 formula, you get more beneficial fiber in a simple way.
We added in the B-vitamin Biotin to support connective tissue health (hair, skin, and nails).
We continue utilizing Premium Protein per scoop, low fat, and low calories. Total sugars increased a marginal amount per scoop. This is largely due to the Whey protein concentrate we used for this 2023 manufacturing run. Whey has some naturally occurring sugars (that are thankfully slow digesting and have a minor impact on blood sugar). While this increase is very small, we see it as a temporary increase in sugar and will work to reduce it slightly in the future.
