[FF30X FAQ] How to fix biceps tendonitis...
If you're struggling with biceps tendonitis, you're not alone. I've personally battled tendonitis many times in my lifting career, so I know how frustrating it can be when you experience nagging pain when doing shoulder presses, curls, etc.
The good news is that Biceps Tendonitis is treatable, and there are quite a few things you can do at home to help. I've linked specific videos below that cover the methods we approve of here at the FFP.
Method #1a: Cross Friction Massage - whether the tendon is affected distally (near the shoulder) or proximally (near the elbow). Cross-friction massage helps to break up scar tissue.
Method #1b: Massage and stretch all the surrounding muscles around the issue (shoulders, biceps, forearms, rotator cuff muscles). Tight muscles can put more tension on weakened tendons.

Method #2: Eccentric Exercises With Weights - you can actually strengthen your tendon through exercise. Our friend Jamie Dryer covers it really well in this video below
Method #3: Rest - if you have a new onset tendonitis, one of the best things you can do is completely rest the area and avoid any exercises that aggravate it so you don't turn an acute (short-term) aggravation into a long-term, nagging injury. If your tendonitis has been progressing for a long time, rest likely won't fix it. You'll need to use Methods #1 and #2.
