How To fix Golfer's Elbow (Medial Epicondylitis - Inner Elbow Pain)...
If you're experiencing some pain in the inner side of your elbow (near the medial epicondyle), you may be experiencing what's commonly referred to as "Golfer's Elbow" (medial epicondylitis).
Golfer's Elbow is an incredibly common overuse injury... even if you don't play golf. The issue arises from lots of repetitive, aggravating motions where you're flexing your wrist and forearm, which puts a strain on the flexor muscle groups' attachments on the medial epicondyle.
When I have experienced this issue in the past, here are the techniques that worked for me.
Step #1: Watch this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MOw6UFelld0
- You'll want to do the Cross-Friction massage over the area.
Step #2: Do eccentric exercises (lowering). Watch this video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h333IUb_G_o
- Use a dumbbell to do eccentric reps for your flexors and extensors in your forearm
I believe it's important to do BOTH the self-massage and the strengthening exercises together.
We hope this helps you!
